OUR STORY
Founded by brothers Neil and Mike Tinmouth, the ACUA Ocean team brings together more than a century of combined experience in the maritime sector.
Prior to ACUA Ocean, Neil was a founding member of the GEBCO Alumni team that won the Shell Ocean Discovery XPrize for autonomous ocean mapping, whilst Mike has been an innovation mentor to the UK Ministry of Defence since 2019.

LR Approval in Principle
Received Lloyd's Register Approval in Principle for the vessel electrical, hydrogen and control systems.

CMDC3 Pilot project commences
ACUA secured funding from the UK Department of Transport under the CMDC Round 3 to deliver a pilot project from Plymouth and Aberdeen.

USV PIONEER launch
The USV launched for Harbour Acceptance Testing at Turnchapel Wharf in December 2024.
